I was born and raised in Hawaii and never saw snow first-hand until I married a guy who took me all over the world on Pan American World Airways.

Pan AmBack then, the experience of flying was incredibly enjoyable… both on the ground and in the air.

The Boeing 707 you see here was the same type we flew on our honeymoon. I will always remember the luxury of flying Pan Am.

Anyway, even though I never saw snow… I sure knew about Santa Claus.  And, Christmas has always been my very special time of the year.

We had a fantastic retail store in Hawaii known as Liberty House and I had the pleasure of working with them for quite awhile.  By the time I retired from the retail world, I had flown over one million miles as the buyer of ready-to-wear designer fashion.

It was on one of those long trips that I began to hand-stitch a garment made from designer neckties that friends and business contacts had given me over the years.

At first, I didn’t have a clue what the thing was going to be… but, one day it dawned on me that it might look great as a cloak for Santa Claus.

One thing led to another… and now… years later… I’m more entrenched in making Santa Dolls than ever before.

Each year I learn something new and exciting, so my feeling is that I’ll keep creating these little works of art for as long as my fingers allow.

Making unique Santa dolls is laborious, but the end result always gives me great pleasure. I hope you enjoy taking a look around my blog and, of course, would really appreciate having you review the entire Santa Doll Collection.

Thanks for stopping by and come again soon!
