Just got back from my Japan buying trip and I must say it was one of the best ever… if not number one than certainly number two.
Problem is… I came home sick, sick, sick! I know what Santa Claus must feel like when he knows he’s up against a deadline, but then comes down with a scratchy throat and foghorn coughing spasms.
My Santa Dolls are staring at me and wondering when the heck I’m going to put their finishing touches on them. Actually, I have the bearding done and am now starting to attach the hands. But, I get tired too easily and have to stop… so back to bed for awhile.
When I have more strength and a clearer mind, I’ll try to describe how utterly fantastic this Japan trip was for me. I based my stay at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo and then took numerous train trips to the outskirts.
The biggest impact resulted from visiting The Itchiku Kubota Kimono Museum — without a doubt the most fascinatingly beautiful works of art imaginable. I’ll give you my take on it later… but in the meantime, here’s a little info about this unique kimono artist:
