As much as I love creating Santa dolls… I don’t relish the gut wrenching pressure of meeting deadlines. People that know me well probably would find that unusual because I’m the poster girl for making and following schedules.
But, there’s a difference between being organized and meeting goals. It seems every year I go through something similar because my final crunch time is making sure everything is spot on for the first public showing at the Ward Warehouse Conference Room.
Ward Warehouse is a large commercial complex across the street from a major boat harbor and I’ve been presenting shows there for several years now. They are trying to get financing and permits approved to do some major renovation, but everything is on hold for the time being due to the lousy economy.
Bad for them but good for us because they are extremely cooperative and helpful in allowing us to set up everything early. It will be tough to find a substitute location when they give us the boot.
