Every year my husband and I struggle with getting everything loaded into our cargo van and SUV, so that we can make only one trip from our home into town where the shopping center is located.
Hooray… this year we did it!
The Santa dolls are each wrapped in bubble paper and then placed into a heavy duty trash bag which is tied carefully into a sturdy handle for ease of carrying and placing into the vehicles. Each one is marked such as Japanese, Korean, Couture, etc.
This year we have our first show at the ground level, which will make setting up MUCH easier and less physically tiring. My friend Sue will be there with us to unpack and place each doll into position. As before, we will place some Christmas lights around the area to liven it up a little.
Just found out that the Star-Advertiser newspaper will be there during the show to do a photo shoot, which is fantastic because this will help stir up more traffic for the October show.
I’m excited about the show finally starting, but I must admit that I’m really tired and look forward to my break between shows. I’m going to spend that time with my daughter and her family just outside of Boston.
I can hardly wait!
