I live in Kaneohe on the windward side of Oahu and we have the Marine Corps Base Hawaii located a short distance from my home.   Last Saturday and Sunday we were thrilled to have a visit from the the Blue Angels Naval squadron from Pensacola.

Their mission is to enhance both Navy and Marine Corps recruiting efforts and let me tell you they represented themselves with amazing distinction. Their airshow choreography is absolutely awesome.

Is This Beautiful... Or What?

Last season, more than 8 million spectators watched the Blue Angels perform. They started in 1946 and have performed for more than 463 million fans.

This year they’ll complete 68 air shows throughout the U.S. and this celebrates their 23rd year of flying the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft.

We got a front row view without even going over to the Marine base because various flying formations took the planes directly over our heads as we watched from the front yard.

Here are some of the shots that my neighbor Cory took while his wife Tracy and their daughter Trishia covered their ears to stifle some of the noise.
