The first show is over and it went extremely well. We had lots more walk-ins due to the new location on the ground level.
With Dairy Queen across the way we had to be on special alert for dripping ice cream cones… fortunately, no problems.
I’m off to Boston in a couple days for about a month to visit my daughter and her family including 3 grand-kids that are absolutely adorable (couldn’t guess that I’m a very proud grandma).
Had a nice visit from the major newspaper. They posted 12 great photos on their website and I’m betting this will lead to some new business.
Right now, the big project is to get the 2010 inventory up and running on my Santa doll web site with expected completion by this Wednesday.
I love doing all this and wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world… but, I must admit that it’s a very tiring ordeal to set up and run successful public showings for the collection.
Next one is Oct 23 at the Ward Warehouse… and, then, two more shows at my home for special clients and guests.
Papa and Mama Klaus have been the big winners so far. Looks like I need to plan accordingly for next year. The Japanese peddler series is also pretty popular.
